Monday, June 20
•St. Marys City Council is holding their regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 20 at 7 p.m. in City Hall on LaFayette Street.
•The St. Marys Public Library is hosting a playgroup and story time on Monday from 10-11 a.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, June 22
•It's Blizzard Day on Wednesday at the St. Marys Dairy Queen. Support the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce firework display as 50 cents from each blizzard sold goes towards the fireworks fund. Businesses may call in with large orders at 781-1417.
•Finding Butterflies is being presented at the St. Marys Public Library on June 22 at 6:30 p.m. Jerry Schneider will present a slideshow on easter butterflies. Participants make their own butterfly t-shirt (bring your own and purchase one for $4). This program is best for school aged children through adults.
•There will be a grade school activity hour on Wednesday at the St. Marys Public Library from 10-11 a.m.

Thursday, June 23
•A Farmer's Market will be held in the Fox Township Community Park on Thursday, June 23 from 4-6 p.m. The market is held every Thursday through October.

Friday, June 24
•The St. Marys Rotary Club is holding their annual Beef on Wick sale on Friday, June 24 beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Depot Street at the Project Gifts for Elk County location.
•Smoke on the Mountain BBQ Cookoff/Competition is taking place Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25. The event is sponsored by the Fox Township Volunteer Fire Department. Friday's events include a Cruise-In and DJ at 4 p.m., food/beer/tickets and a cash drawing. A BBQ contestants meeting will take place at 7 p.m.
The event will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Sign ups for the talent show and Battle of the Barrel begins at noon. Bingo, the Battle of the Barrel and the talent show all start at 1 p.m. The People's Choice Tasting runs from 3-6 p.m. Contestants turn in their items for judging at the following times, chicken at 4 p.m., ribs at 4:30 p.m. and brisket at 5 p.m. The fire dept.'s chicken dinners will go on sale at 5 p.m. A Straub Beer tasting runs from 5-7 p.m. Winners of the event will be announced at 7 p.m. The band "SPIFF" performs at 8 p.m. The schedule is subject to change.
•Ladies! Are you tired of your typical weekend? Well, here's the perfect opportunity to break out of your routine and try something new! Sinnemahoning State Park is offering a weekend filled with opportunities to learn new outdoor skills! Programs will include mountain biking, archery, tree identification, kayaking, outdoor photography, GPS/geo-caching, fly-fishing, primitive skills, and many others. Participants may choose up to ten different sessions over the three days of the event. All meals are included with registration. Grab your mom, sister, best friend or co-worker and join with us and other aspiring woods-women for a new adventure in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds! •The Penn Highlands Healthcare/KTH Architects Golf Classic is set for June 24. The golf committee of the Penn Highlands Healthcare/KTH Architects Golf Classic is excited to bring this annual tournament to four communities this year. It will be held on Friday, June 24, with a 10 a.m. tee time at four locations at the Bavarian Hills Golf Course, St. Marys; the Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club, Clearfield; the DuBois Country Club, DuBois; and Pinecrest Country Club, Brookville. Golfers are able to choose the location they wish to golf. Throughout the day, participants will enjoy snacks and beverages, plus lunch from Luigi’s Ristorante of DuBois. There will be games, valuable prizes and great giveaway items. After play, all golfers will be treated to dinner right at their course of play. Teams and individuals are encouraged to sign-up. Saturday, June 25
•St. Marys Farmers Market opens June 25th at the Franklin Center from 9-11 a.m. The market will be open each Saturday. These markets allow local consumers to access locally farm fresh produce and other products, supporting our local farmers and increasing food security.
•Living Brooks Yoga and Wellness, LLC (LBYW) is hosting its first "3-P Fundraising Event" from 11 a.m.-noon at the Community Building in Kersey. Proceeds will benefit Citizens Against Physical, Sexual, & Emotional Abuse (CAPSEA). The event is free of charge, or for a donation, and offers the public an opportunity to attend an LBYW Yoga Experience. During the event each participant is required to deposit an envelope in a basket which must contact a praise report or something the person is thankful for, a prayer request, and a payment or donation of any amount. The envelopes are unmarked and remain anonymous. During the 60-minute experience there will be a well-rounded offering for beginners to advanced Yoga practitioners of various fitness levels. Participants must be age 18 or older or sign a waiver. If this is the first time at a LBYW event please arrive 10-15 minutes early to read and sign the business's liability waiver. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat and water bottle.
