Monday, Oct. 10
•There will be no school on Oct. 10 in the St. Marys Area School District due to an Act 80 day.
•The St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
•The St. Marys Public Library board meeting will take place Oct. 10.

Tuesday, Oct. 11
•There will be no school on Oct. 11 in the St. Marys Area School District due to an Inservice Day.
•The St. Marys Public Library Book Club meets Tuesday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m. This month's book of choice is "State of Wonder" by Ann Patchet.
•The St. Marys Public Library will host "1,2,3, Play with Me" on Oct. 11 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This social play group is for children ages four and under and their parents. Local early intervention and literacy agencies will be at the program for parents to ask questions about their child’s development.

Wednesday, Oct. 12
•The Ridgway Fire Department is hosting an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the Central Fire Station on North Broad Street. Firefighters will hand out fire prevention information to kids, plus offer firetruck rides. Everyone is welcome.

Thursday, Oct. 13
•The Elk County Footlighters will present "God's Favorite", a play by Neil Simon, on Oct. 13, 14, and 15 at Aiello's Cafe in Ridgway. Happy hour is at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Village Peddler in St. Marys and at Cliffe's in Ridgway.

Friday, Oct. 14
•The third annual Scare at the Fair haunted house and hayride is being held Friday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Elk County Fairgrounds in Kersey from 6-10 p.m. each night. The cost is $5 per person with those age four and under free. Food and drinks will be available.

Saturday, Oct. 15
•Parker Dam State Park in Penfield will host its 11th Annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Float on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 12-7:30 p.m. This annual celebration of fall features many historical skills and activities, as well as vendors showcasing their wares. From apple cidering, to candle dipping, to leaf crafts, there is something for the entire family.  The festival culminates with the beach bonfire and the pumpkin float at 7 p.m. Contact Linda at 814-592-7062 for vendor information on the event.

Sunday, Oct. 16
•A Pennsylvania Hunter's Rally will take place Saturday, Oct. 16 in Lock Haven at the Castanea Social Hall Picnic Grounds at 1 p.m. A free lunch will be served at noon.
